Delicious Grochowka: pea soup with sausage

Do you want a new recipe for lunch? Then don’t miss our Grochowka.

You will delight your whole family with this healthy delicacy. Especially in the transition period, this soup can catch a cold both of them.

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g of peas, yellow
  • 2 onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 150 grams of carrots
  • 150 g of parsley root
  • 400 g of potatoes, waxed
  • 100 g of smoked bacon
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 liter of meat soup
  • 2 teaspoons marjoram, dried
  • 2 teaspoons of cumin powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt
  • Pepper, black, from the mill
  • 200 g sausage, lightly smoked, for example B. Polish
  • 4 spoons of cream
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley

Approximately per serving:

  • 626 calories
  • 32 grams of fat
  • 50 grams of carbohydrates
  • 32 grams of protein

Preparation time:

  • 30 minutes (plus 12 hours of rest and 1 hour of cooking)

And this is how it is done:


  1. Soak the peas in cold water overnight. Drain, rinse with water and drain the next day. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Peel the carrot, parsley root and potato, wash and cut into pieces.
  2. Cut the bacon into small cubes. Heat the oil in a large pot and sauté the onion with the bacon for about five minutes until it turns light. Add the peas, remaining vegetables and garlic, let everything simmer for a while, then pour in the soup.
  3. Mix the marjoram and cumin, add half with the bay leaf, add salt and pepper to everything and simmer half-covered for about 30 minutes on low heat. If necessary, peel the sausage, cut it into slices and stew for 20 to 30 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cream and boil everything again. Season the finished soup as desired, divide into bowls or plates, sprinkle with parsley and a little marjoram-cumin mixture and serve.
