This November’s celebration and campaign days are all about cooking, baking and reading. How is that? This month, for example, is all about chicken soup, daring recipes, all kinds of pastries and books. But that is not all. We also have a large portion of tolerance and a lot of kindness in our luggage for you!
November 2 – Stuffed Egg Day
Want a recipe? Then we like to refer to our social stuff for last November. #tasty
November 7 – Day of dark chocolate with almonds
It is darker, has a slightly bitter taste and contains less sugar. And it supposedly protects the cardiovascular system and even lowers blood pressure.
November 8 – Cook something bold day
While researching “Daring Recipes”, we learned that the so-called thunder cakes fall into this category. But just a question, is the cake called that because after you cut it it looks like lightning struck?
November 10 – World Science Day
A day of action introduced by UNESCO in 2001 to draw attention to the “importance of science for world peace and global development in all fields”. Just as important today as it was then.
November 11 – Start of the fifth season
Yes, the fifth season. Not all federal states are so high on the wish list of the most popular times of the year. But good. We here in the north wish everyone in the south and west of the country a happy moment, celebrate and stay alert!
November 12 – Baking of Christmas stolen
That’s right, Christmas is here again. And what could be nicer than dealing with treats? And it is noticeable that this month is full of delicious campaign days! great month
November 12 – Chicken Soup for the USA Soul Day
In the US? We think this should be a global day of action. Because chicken soup is delicious, healthy and warms you from the inside. A great home remedy, and our grandparents always had a pot of chicken soup on the stove in the fall and winter. Cysteine inhibits inflammation. And another tip: look on November 19. Then it’s delicious…
November 13 – World Kindness Day
Happy Memorial Day. Simply call people you haven’t talked to in a long time or just smile at people you meet every day. And if we then remember November 16 as the International Day of Tolerance, everything can only get better!
November 15 – Public Bookstore Day
Read! Just very, very important! And then shared it with others through the bookshelf. Shared joy is double joy! And if you look at November 18th, you’ll see that it’s a really important topic: it’s National Reading Day! Well, if it’s not a coincidence.
November 16 – International Day of Tolerance
Openness, tolerance or also friendliness. Nice words to describe tolerance, right? And you know what? We’ll just leave them as they are. If you don’t have to say anything, always sign up.
November 18 – National Reading Day in Germany
This day of action originates from the initiative of the weekly DIE ZEIT, the Reading Foundation and the Deutsche Bahn Foundation and takes place every year on the third Friday in November. Of course, reading skills should be promoted. And that requires people who read aloud. We think: Great action. So: sign up on reading day and join.
November 19 – National Soup Day in Germany
After the chicken soup on November 12, we in Germany continue with soups in general. Delicious, filling and healthy, as already mentioned. And: originally created for a good cause.
November 20 – International Children’s Day
We read a lot this month. Reading educates and children need education. Grab your kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, or great-nieces and nephews (yes, we already have them!) and read them something exciting, thrilling, or beautiful, spend time with them, and just have a good time.
November 27 – 1st Advent
Now it’s getting comfortable. The 1st of Advent has arrived, and with it a lot of time for family and friends, a few more cookies and a lot more comfort (old-fashioned, that word, right? But it fit in really well!). With this in mind: have a wonderful Advent season and enjoy it with your loved ones!
