A hearty soup with sliced carrots, diced potatoes and hearty and spicy meats is not difficult to prepare, it’s delicious and it doesn’t cost a lot of money! The price of a large pot is just under five euros – and you can eat from it for two days.

Ingredients: You need 1 kilogram of carrots, half a kilogram of potatoes, 500 grams of minced meat, an onion, a clove of garlic, about two to three liters of vegetable stock, salt, pepper, paprika powder and chopped chives.
Preparation: Peel the carrot and potato, cut the carrot into thin slices, and the potato into small cubes. Pour into a pot and cover with soup.

Round off the carrot stew with a mixture of minced meat and onions
You need enough vegetable broth so that the liquid is about an inch above the vegetables. Then cook until the vegetables are done. During this time, heat the oil in a separate container, add the diced onion and the chopped garlic clove and saute. Then comes the minced meat, which is fried until it becomes crumbly and seasoned with salt, pepper and paprika powder. When the vegetables are ready, add the minced meat and onion mixture to the vegetable soup.

Mix everything well, taste. At the end, chive rings are mixed in, which give the stew something more. The finished soup is best left to stand for 30 minutes, then it tastes best. This goes well with fresh bread. Enjoy your meal!
